Kisa Foster – President

Where were you born and raised?

I am a rare native of Colorado. I grew up in Fort Morgan, a small farming town 80 miles east of Denver.

How did you end up in Denver?

After attending college at SMU in Texas, I moved to the east coast where I lived in CT and New York City for several years. I decided to move back to CO 15 years ago and I’m glad I did. Shortly thereafter, I met my husband Dan.

What are you doing when your kids are at school?

I like to say that I made a career change from Advertising to parenthood and it’s the most rewarding career decision I could have made. I enjoy being active in my boys’ school. During much needed breaks from my To-Do list I enjoy reading, walking and practicing yoga.

Tell us about your family.

My husband Dan (“the wine guy” to you all) and I have two boys – Asher, in the 3 rd grade, and Ford, in the first grade.

Why did you choose Swigert?

We were building a house close to Swigert when Asher was 4 and chose Swigert because it was just blocks away and had some of the highest test scores in the area. Getting a spot in the preschool class was literally like winning the lottery to us. This is our 5th year at the school and we are very happy.

What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?

Definitely brunch, my favorite meal, followed by a long walk and then movie night with the family.

Jen Woolf– Vice President

Where were you born and raised?

I grew up right off Quebec, just at the other end of town! I lived right at Arapahoe Road and Quebec, south of the Tech
Center until I headed to Boulder for college.

How did you end up in Denver?

After I graduated from college, I tried to move to Seattle for a little while. The rain was just too much for me after
growing up with all this sunshine, so I promptly moved back to Denver to rejoin my family, childhood and college
friends.

What are you doing when your kids are at school?

I’m going into my second year of staying home to support my family after 15 years in public education as a teacher
and administrator. It’s such a gift to be able to spend my days running our errands, taking better care of myself, and
chasing our crazy dog. I try to get out on a hike or some sort of activity out of town about once a week. I also volunteer
at George Washington High School helping with their AVID program.

Tell us about your family.

My husband Ben and I met at a softball game 16 years ago, and we’ve been having fun ever since! Our twins Kate and
Finn are going into third grade this year, and our dog Tucker is a maniacal mutt who is turning the corner towards
two (thankfully.) We love to play outdoors, entertain, and snuggle in for movie nights at least once a week.

Why did you choose Swigert?

I began working as the Assistant Principal at Swigert while my kids were still in preschool. I was so impressed by the
quality of the teaching and the internationally minded curriculum that I knew I wanted our twins to go there, too.

What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?

My favorite Saturdays are the ones when we get out of the house for a beautiful hike or great ski day followed by a
well-earned meal cooked by someone else! They’re especially great when the kids get along the whole time!

Tiffany Spector – Treasurer

Where were you born and raised?

I spent most of my childhood in the suburbs of St. Paul, Minnesota, ‘doncha know – said with a Fargo accent which I have managed to lose over the years.  I’ve also lived in California: the small town of Placerville and the big city of San Francisco, as well as a short stint in Washington D.C.

How did you end up in Denver?

My husband is a native and I went to the University of Colorado at Boulder.  After David and I got married, we knew we were ready to make our way back to Colorado for good!

What are you doing when your kids are at school?

After resigning from my full time job with a global sportswear company earlier this year, I am reacquainting myself with the joys of being a stay-at- home mom.  But I don’t drink coffee, so no, I’m not hanging out at Starbucks all day!

Tell us about your family.

My husband David and I met when we were 18 and have been married for over a decade.  We have two boys, Andrew (3rd grade) and Logan (1st grade).

Why did you choose Swigert?

Swigert’s close proximity to our house and the IB offering caught our interest at first.  The community of students, teachers, administrators and parents has made us feel so lucky to continue to be involved with such a great school.

What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?

Sleeping in, going to a mid-morning workout, attending a fun event with the kids and then getting a babysitter so we can take the train down to Union Station for an adult night out!

Molly Lacy- Secretary

Where were you born and raised?

I was born and raised in St.Paul, Minnesota (but am a die-hard Wisconsin Badger fan!)

How did you end up in Denver?

I moved to Denver to attend University of Denver for graduate school (in Social Work).  I met my husband here, fell in
love with the mountains and haven’t ever left….

What are you doing when your kids are at school?

Until this year, I have worked part-time as a school-based Social Worker in Jefferson County Schools.  We now have a
seven month old so my school year is going to look a little different this fall!  I also own a small stationery and gift
business, GeorgiaLu Gifts, that I hope to grow and expand…  I also like to workout and carve out time with friends…

Tell us about your family.

My husband John and I have three kids (Cash (3rd grade), Georgia (1st grade) and Marlo (seven months)).  We enjoy
spending time with friends and family, being active, traveling, cooking, reading and cheering on our favorite sports
teams….

Why did you choose Swigert?

We really didn’t; Swigert “chose” us.  Our son received a coveted ECE spot and we immediately felt like part of the
community.  As an educator, our school really struck me as a special place and we feel very lucky that our kids get to
go to school there every day.

What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?

Well, it used to involve sleeping in a bit (but that hasn’t happened recently?!), working out and having a good cup of
coffee but now I love attending my kids’ sports games and having lunch on a patio someplace…  A good book and a
cuddle with my kiddos is always perfect, too.
