Volunteer Opportunities

We rely solely on volunteers, and we can always use new volunteers to contribute ideas and help plan and execute events. See below to find different ways you can contribute and the amazing parents leading each of these efforts.


Annual Auction

The annual auction raises more than half of all PTA fundraising and is a chance for parents to have a fun night without the kids while bidding on some amazing things.

Swigert Gives/Color Run

Our fall giving drive will be focused on one week where we need to raise most of the money needed for the annual PTA budget, so we can continue supporting teachers, students and staff.

Community Engagement

Help welcome our new families to make sure they learn about our amazing Swigert community. Create events like playground meetups and happy hours for families to connect with their grade.

Membership

Help with annual membership drive and outreach to PTA members.

Summer Reading Program

Coordinate the Swigert Summer Reading Challenge to keep kids reading over the summer.

Room-Parents

Recognizing and supporting our teachers and staff so they are able to be at their best.

Trunk or Treat

Halloween trunk or treat; dress up and trick or treat in the school parking lot. Need volunteers for trunks.

Spirit Wear

Show your Swigert pride with clothing, magnets, masks and other Swigert swag.

Critical Needs

Food, school supplies and other resources available to help Swigert families in need.

Teacher Appreciation

Show your teacher appreciation teacher appreciation week. A full week of love and goodies for our fabulous staff.

School Supplies

Get all your school supplies for the year mailed to your house. It couldn’t be any easier.

Welcome Breakfast

Playground meet up with breakfast to meet families.

Dine and Donate

Eat at local restaurants on specific nights and a portion of the proceeds go to Swigert.

Literacy/Book Fair

Keeping kids reading all year and supporting quarterly Scholastic book fairs.

Sponsorships

Recognizing the amazing businesses who contribute to the success of our students.

School Garden.

The garden is both an outdoor classroom and food supply for students.
